| RT-CAM100 - CMOS Imager I |
|
CMOS Imager 1 is a scientific research camera equipped with a high-resolution CMOS imager. It can be used for scientific study of transient phenomena. The system is based on an Active Pixel Sensor capable of recording 10fps at full resolution of 525H x 525V. Pixel size is 25 microns square. The device is controlled from a PC using a telnet connection on any OS, e.g. Microsoft Windows® or Linux. Interface between the device and the PC is established using dedicated Ethernet connection. The control software runs on Linux on an embedded single-board PC. This software is used to set all parameters of the camera, including exposure time, usage of region of interest (ROI). The board has analogue inputs as well as digital I/O, enabling the user to monitor analogue signals (e.g. temperature) as well as controlling external equipment. The images are transferred to the PC using NFS (Network File System).
