Mathematic Camera

The MatCam is self-contained intelligent camera unit capable of processing acquired images according to client requirements to extract relevant data. These data can then be passed to external systems via a network interface.

The unique feature of the MatCam is programmability: image processing and image analysis algorithms can be specified by the user via MathWorks Simulink® block diagram. Real-Time Workshop® and Target Support Package™ TC6 (for TI’s C6000™ DSP) are used to generate code from Simulink®  model and download it to the camera unit. Using this approach enables developer to check new video algorithms in short time, minimizing the cost of development cycle.

Basic Simulink® block set is available as a part of TI block package. Additional custom Simulink®  blocks for advanced operations can be developed, depending on the customer requirements.

The MatCam supports motorized lenses for remote operation.
