Design for Manufacturability

Hardware Development

In order to link our research and development services with final products on the global market, RT-RK organized various sets of hardware design, research, development and production services, from concept proving, via prototyping, small and pilot series of electronic devices, up to the industrialization of the product.

In all our hardware system design activities we follow the Design for Manufacturability approach. We cover the following aspects:

Design for concept proving

includes the conversion of hardware functional concepts into technical specifications and customer requirements documents; conversion specifications and requirements into block diagrams, circuit schematics, physical printed circuit boards layout; component selection and purchasing; prototype production with certified subsidiary companies. All of these are available as rapid prototyping services including 24 hour prototype PCB production.

Design for sourcing and logistics

includes the company's internal Component Information System, and ties to local and global distributors of electronic components and electronic manufacturing service chains, a small stock of critical devices with long lead time, and components which might be close to end of their life cycle. This enables optimizing designs and products in terms of bill of materials, price and availability.

Design for test

With a dynamically organized structure and workplaces, special automatic and semiautomatic test environments for each product produced by RT-RK, Design for test enables the so called zero defect program with 100% tested devices before delivery to the customer.

Design for certificate

RT-RK has established a special business frame with neighboring companies and laboratories, in order to offer complete testing, verification and certification facilities, for consumer, industrial, and military standards.

Design for assembly

The last step before the industrialization of the product. Together with our subcontractors we offer small scale production with a complete document flow and an organization like the one used in mass production.

Your current web browser must be updated to version 7 of Internet Explorer (IE7) to take advantage of all of template's capabilities.

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
