In regards with distribution of TV broadcast to end IP devices, RT-RK is ready to keep up with SAT>IP standard development awaiting CAS-to-DRM conversion agreement, already having CI Plus host software and versatile DRM implementations in the product portfolio.
Through an agile process of constant evolving of architectures and services, RT-RK helps customers to roll out and maintain platforms and configurations. RT-RK Insight proprietary solution integrated in RK-3040 server provides means for configuration, firmware upgrade, and parameter monitoring for any end device via the Internet, using TR-069 CPE WAN Management protocol. RK-3040 is equipped with an Insight Client library/service for integration to end devices.
“With more IP devices in homes every day, such as OTT boxes and media players showing on a big TV screen, broadcast TV receiving capabilities seem like a next reasonable step. Additionally, content protection attainable at server side, makes RK-3040 server an ideal solution for HD premium content distribution to smart phones, laptops, tablets, etc. Speaking about the future, it is our belief that SAT>IP line of products –broadcast gateways and servers, is a trend to follow in terms of bringing multi-screen into homes, turning IP OTT devices into a genuine PayTV receivers.”, said Milenko Beric CFO RT-RK.
