Invention refers to a system and procedure for hands-free voice communication in video-phone or teleconference applications and the use thereof based on microphone sequence the aim of which is a high quality recording of the voice of a speaker in a room and in the conditions of a large distance, of existing disturbances, accoustic echo from a distant speaker and TV programme, reverberation of the room and move of the speaker in the room.
The system consists of: a digital TV receiver and a digital camera for reproduction and record of the image, respective, stereo loudspeakers and microphone set for reproduction and recording the sound, respectively, amplifying and aquzitional module for audio signals and DSP for treatment of accoustic signals.

Technique and system for automatic gain control (agc) using microphone array

Invention belongs to the procedure and system for automatic control of a speech signal gain (AGC) recorded by means of a microphone sequence in specific 'hands-free' teleconference conditions of communication and in accoustic ambience with large level of various interferences such as: accoustic echo, interferential noise, reverberation and other speakers, as well as a different position of a speaker in space in comparison to the microphone sequence.
The procedure for AGC consists from: estimation of trajectory of peak speech power of the speech signal, estimation of powers of accoustic interferences and participation thereof in determination of coeficient of increase, determination of the downward(11)compression characteristics, determination of coefficient of amplification for AGC and formation of speech signal output with minimal distortions.

System and technique for speaker localization using microphone array

Invention refers to a speaker localization system and procedure in open or closed room, which is based on the grounds of implementation of a set of microphone in sequence with arbitrary number of microphones and which may be applied in control and management of robots, video surveillance and processes that demand interactive information on localization of a speeker, or in 'hands-free' communication systems such as teleconference systems, video conference systems, speakerphones, and alike.
The procedure is based on the cross correllation, i.e. phase transformation PHAT, optimized according to characteristics of speech signal and on a detector of speech activity (VAD) on the base of superdirective rectifier (SD-BF). Optimization of PHAT cross correlation achieves improved accuracy and more precise estimation of angle and azimuth [theta] while application of SD-BF in VAD improves the reliability of estimation in dynamic conditions of application of the system for localization of a speaker. Technique to estimate direction of arrival of sound source by dual microphone system
Invention uses dual microphone system based on a computer and consists a procedure by means of which estimation of direction of sound arrival is carried out from active speaker in accoustic ambience with reverberation and noise. Herewith described procedure anticipates a michophone pair set in a horisontal area, as to a definced distance, and that the procedure detects the presence of an active speaker and determines its direction, i.e azimuth angle in comparison to the symmetry to a microphone in horisontal plane.
Invention is characterized by specific procedures : (1) pre-treatment of a segment of one microphone signal with a task to detect segments with accoustic sounds, as these are suitable at cross-correlation of signal. It uses an analysis of values of several properties in frequential domain, i.e. signal power in certain spectral range, unification of spectrum and spectral centroid; (2) interpolation of subintervals of temporal and cross-correlative function for the purpose of increase in accuracy of direction of arrival which is being aimed to increase the reliability and reduce the function of final estimation of arriving direction.
This system employs a personal computer wherein are implemented procedural treatments from the invention and may be implemented in the field of localization of a speaker, i.e. to control direction of a robot, improve the quality of a speech signal, control the camera surveilance and alike.

Invention herewith described refers to the method and technique for remote lighting control using acceleration measuring circuits that includes the remote controllers that manage the lighting using the acceleration sensor and (i) two-dimensional movements, rotation around the axis, and (ii) three-dimensional movements i.e. free rotation.
The sensor for the acceleration measuring is mounted and fixed on the printed circuit board; on the same printed circuit board, there is an autonomous power source and block for wireless communication. These three components make the unit which is installed into the movable part of the remote controller - switch.
When rotating the movable part of the controller, its absolute position relative to the Earth's axis is determined and on the basis of information obtained from the sensor the rotation angle is calculated that corresponds to a command issued to the controlled device - lighting body.
SYSTEM FOR MARKING ROAD EDGE IN LOW VISIBILITY CONDITIONS USING WIRELESSLY COUPLED SIGNALLING DEVICES

The invention herewith described refers to the system for marking the road edge in low visibility conditions using wirelessly coupled signalling devices mounted near the road edge. The signalling devices dynamically emit signalling light in the direction of a vehicle movement. The signalling light is activated by the first signalling device, after its detection of a vehicle, which sends the message via the wireless communication to the next signalling device in the direction of the vehicle movement. After the the reception of the message, the next signalling device also activates the signalling light and based on the built in logic, decides whether to pass the message further to the next signalling device. Also, each signalling device which turns on its signalling light, initiates the turning on the signalling light by its signalling device pair on the other side of the road.
In this way, the series of light sources is formed that illuminate both sides of the road in the direction of a vehicle movement, and in the way that road edge on the road side of the vehicle movement is marked in red light while the opposite direction road edge is marked in white light. Immediately after the vehicle passes the signalling device, it stops emitting the light. The system dynamic is accomplished therewith that only certain number of devices emits the signalling light in the direction of a vehicle movement, immediately ahead of the vehicle. The system can also work in the special signalling mode in which it provides information to drivers about unusual road circumstances (traffic accidents, road work ahead, traffic jam, passing of special purpose vehicles).; The system enters this operating mode after receiving the appropriate message sent from the special purpose vehicles (police vehicle, fire-fighter vehicle, ambulance vehicle, road maintenance vehicle...).

The idea of the invention is to provide transmission of high definition (HD) video signals without loss in real time, via Ethernet network for data flow, which is achieved by using the method of the fast image compression without the loss based on the content similarity of adjacent horizontal lines within the image and the parallel formation of the multiple compressed video streams with similar content.; On the encoder side, there is accomplished a fixed or adaptive image partitioning into equal segments with the pre-scheduled segmentation step, depending on image content variability, where is for the adjacent horizontal segments of the image assumed that are highly correlated with each other and that can be compressed to approximately the same length. Simultaneously are formed the multiple video streams so that each video stream one after another contains one horizontal line from each of the existing segments of the image, whereby there is achieved the content similarity of video streams.; At the same time, there is performed the compression of video streams with similar content using the entropy coding method, where the pixels in one horizontal line which successively appear more often, are coded shorter than those appearing less frequently, whereby there is achieved the video data compression without losses. The content similarity of the video streams allows the parallel use of the same processing cluster over the video streams thus contributing to higher speed of video data decompression on the decoder side.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR WIRELESS DETECTING PRESENCE OF INDIVIDUALS AUTOMATION OF DOMESTIC ELECTRICAL INSTALLATIONS

Invention herewith described refers to the improvement of the existing solutions in the field of implementation and automation of management of the smart electrical installations. The invention includes the system and method for detecting the presence of the user applied to the automatic control of lighting and other domestic installations using an existing wireless communication network and the changes of the signal strength indicator value (in English: Received Signal Strength Indicator - RSSI) between the stationary communication nodes. The presented method involves monitoring the change in value of the RSSI by disruption of the initial value of the established communication field between the nodes within the premises due to the entry/exit of an individual in the room.; The entry of an individual into the established field of communication causes the change of RSSI that is periodically read after any exchange of messages between the nodes. Based on detected changes, a control signal is generated which will be transmitted to the central control unit that converts the signal into a command for room lighting control or other domestic electrical appliances. Implementation of the system includes at least two nodes, which are at the domestic installation level implemented in the form of the smart socket and the smart switch for lighting and the central control unit as a device for managing exchange of messages and commands. These basic units of the system communicate with each other, follow the change of RSSI between the nodes and based on the crossing preset thresholds of signal strength variation, perform the control of room lighting.; In addition to the lighting control, the system manages any electrical device connected to the smart sockets by their switching on or off if it is the required and predefined operation.
