The Android Set-Top Box by Bouygues Telecom, running iWedia middleware on Marvell BG2-Q chipset, is the first Android Set Top Box able to display Live TV premium content with a fully secured CAS and offering a real TV-Centric rich and open experience. As the French operator brings Set-Top Box market to a modern era by fall 2014, RT-RK keeps engaged on product system integration and testing services.
In addition to engineering support of iWedia, RT-RK participates in another important segment of the Bouygues project – testing of the new box. Manual tests are performed at RT-RK, and complete automatic testing by the RT-RK’s end-to-end test/requirement management solution Intent+. The involvement on the Bouygues Android STB project is an introduction to RT-RK’s new offer of testing services to telecom operators. Guaranteed by an extensive knowledge base in DTV/STB systems, an existing broad and in-depth DVB functionality test library, pre-certification test suites and needed high-end equipment, the offer meets any operator’s requirement for STB deployment and maintenance. Testing on demand or continuous testing, full access to RT-RK’s tools or integration with customer’s tools, transparent execution, on-click-available test reports, and predictable costs, are all part of the RT-RK’s flexible offer.
The company’s offer of services will be presented to OEMs and telecom operators at IBC 2014.
